Steering Frame Lock in the LOCKED position
Move the steering frame lock into the locked position.
Stop the engine. Move the STIC steering control lever to the right. Then move the STIC steering control lever to the left. This releases steering pilot oil pressure.
Slowly, loosen the hydraulic oil fill cap. This will relieve any pressure. Note: Pressure may be trapped in the steering cylinders. To relieve any pressure, perform the following step.

(1) Pressure tap for right turn. (2) Pressure tap for left turn.
Attach one end of a drain hose to the pressure tap for left turn (1) and the other end to the hydraulic tank. Attach one end of a drain hose to the pressure tap for right turn (2) and the other end to hydraulic oil tank. The pressure taps are located on the left side of the machine. Note: With the steering control unlocked, slowly move the STIC steer control left and right in a 1 second – on – 1 second off manner for 30 seconds. Wait 15 minutes to allow pressure trapped in steering cylinders and secondary steering circuit to bleed off.
Move the STIC control to the left and right. Continue this action until there is no movement.
After all the steering pressure has been relieved, remove the drain assemblies.

(3) Pressure tap. (4) Pump signal line.
Connect the high pressure port of the 1U-5796 Pressure Differential Tool Gp to the quick connect port at the pump discharge pressure tap (3). Install a 40000 kPa (5801 psi) pressure gauge at the high pressure port of the 1U-5796 Pressure Differential Tool Gp. Connect the Pressure Differential Tool Gp on the low pressure port at the pressure tap for the load sensing line. Note: Two separate 6V-7830 Pressure Gauge can be used in place of the pressure differential gauge. These gauges are tetragauges. The tetragauges are capable of reading pressures from 40000 kPa (5801 psi). Connect one tetragauge to the pressure tap. Connect the other tetragauge to the pressure tap.
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle.
Move the STIC control halfway to the right position. Check the pressure differential gauge. The gauge should stabilize at 2100 100 kPa (305 15 psi) for the margin pressure for the steering pump. Note: If you are using tetragauges, the steering pump pressure should be 2400 100 kPa (348 15 psi) higher than the pressure in the load sensing line. This is the margin pressure. These pressures must be read during the articulation of the machine.
Stop the engine. Adjust the flow compensator valve if the valve pressure was not correct. Remove the cap (2). Loosen locknut (3). Adjust setscrew (4) in order to adjust the setting of the margin pressure for the steering pump. Turn the setscrew clockwise in order to increase the margin pressure. Turn the setscrew counterclockwise in order to decrease the margin pressure for the steering pump. Note: If the margin pressure is set above the specification, the performance of
