Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat Products.
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove bolts (2) and remove panel (1).

Connection for Step 5 has been made transparent for clarity.
Mark and disconnect DEF lines (3) using Tooling (B).

Disconnect plug (5).
Remove bolts (4) and remove DEF pump (6).Note: Repeat the Steps for the remaining DEF pump.Installation Procedure
Note: To maintain cleanliness, the protective caps must remain in place until the final connections are made.
Install DEF pump in reverse order of removal.Note: Use Tooling (A) if needed.
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 19 4 N m (168 35 lb in).
