Operator Console Adjustment
Adjust the operator console at the beginning of each work period and adjust the operator console when you change operators or working conditions.The operator console must be adjusted so that all of the controls are easily reached.
Position the operator console only when the machine is stopped and the parking brake is applied. When the machine is traveling, the operator console must be secured in position.
Note: Slide the operator console only when the seat is positioned in the extreme right or left position, beyond the outer edge of the operator platform.The operator console slides sideways on the mounting rail, and swivels at the base.Use the following procedure in order to adjust the operator console:

Pull and hold slide locking knob (2) in order to release the operator console.
Use steering wheel (1) to slide the operator console to the desired position.
Release locking knob (2) in order to secure the operator console to the desired position.
Pull and hold swivel locking knob (3) in order to release the operator console.
Use steering wheel (1) to swivel the operator console to the desired position.
Release locking knob (3) in order to secure the operator console to the desired position. Operator Platform Extensions
The asphalt paver has two operator platform extensions. The extensions can be positioned beyond the outer edge of the machine so that the operator has a better view of the work area.
Move the platform extensions only with the machine is stopped and the parking brake is engaged.
Illustration 3 g03841440Lift and rotate locking lever (4) counter clockwise in order to unlock and swivel the operator seat platform outward. Rotate locking lever (4) clockwise in order to secure the operator seat platform.
