425-0720 Lifting Fixture Assembly (Motor Graders Power Train)The 425-0720 Lifting Fixture Assembly is a simple lifting device used with two bolts that secure the load and an eyebolt that lifts the tool and the load. It is used on the Motor Grader power train and is used to remove and install number four (first/third) shaft assemblies (both shaft/clutch assemblies must be removed together).The following features provide maximum versatility:
Lifting fixture can also be used to remove number five output shaft.
The lifting fixture bolts to the top of each shaft assembly.
The eyebolt provides an attachment point for overhead hoist.

General Setup
Identify the load and weight of the machine component to be lifted. Do not exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL).Note: Refer to the appropriate disassembly and assembly service manual for the machine component to be lifted.
Make sure that the lifting eyebolt is fully inserted. Tighten to standard torque.
Use two appropriate Grade 8 or equivalent bolts to secure the load.Note: The bolts used to secure the load should be tightened to standard torque before proceeding to the next step.
Attach a suitable hoist or lifting device to the upper eyebolt assembly (2) .Note: The Working Load Limit (WLL) of the hoist or lifting device used for this step should be more than the weight of the machine component being lifted and the tooling used to lift it.Note: Avoid getting trapped between tooling and the machine component. Stay a safe distance away from the tooling and the machine component during the installation and removal of the machine component.Inspection and Maintenance Section
