Introduction
The problem that is identified in the technical information bulletin that follows does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem

Bottom of cylinder head (1) Intake valve in incorrect position (2) Exhaust valve in incorrect position (3) Flycut (machined area between intake ports)There have been reports of three failures that have been traced to having the intake valves and the exhaust valves in the wrong locations. The intake valves should be positioned next to the machined area of the cylinder head. Refer to Illustration 1 for a reference of the valves in the incorrect positions.Solution
The cylinder heads must be inspected for the proper locations of the intake and exhaust valves on the following cylinder head groups: 0R-9749 Cylinder Head Gp , 0R-9750 Cylinder Head Gp and 148-2144 Cylinder Head Gp .If an incorrectly assembled head is found, as a result of the inspection contact the following person for further instructions:Marty Layer
