Fifth Gear Lockout Switch
Illustration 1 g00581326
Fifth Gear Lockout SwitchThe fifth gear lockout switch inhibits automatic up shifting into the fifth gear. When the switch is depressed, the transmission will not automatically shift into fifth gear. When the switch is depressed and the machine is in the fifth gear, the transmission will downshift to fourth gear.Neutral Lock Switch
The neutral lock switch places the transmission in neutral when the switch is depressed. This occurs independently of the position of the shift lever.Transmission Control (Shift Lever)

The shift lever is an electronic control that can be checked with the ET or the ECAP service tool. The shift lever provides the following information to the service tools in order to aid the troubleshooting:
Status Indicator

Switch (Neutralizer)The neutralizer switch is used in order to place the machine in neutral. This feature is used while the operator is steering the machine or the operator is using the implement. The neutralizer switch is a normally closed momentary switch. The switch is located in the control handle. When the switch is depressed, the switch supplies an open input. When the switch is released, the switch is closed to ground. When the neutralizer switch is depressed, the transmission electronic control module will not activate a solenoid for direction.Note: The transmission electronic control module may activate one of the solenoids for speed, when the switch is depressed and the transmission is in a gear.Switch (Parking Brake)
Illustration 4 g00581353
Switch (Parking Brake)The parking brake switch signals the state of the brake to the control module. The machine will remain in neutral, when the parking brake is applied and the machine is in gear. The machine will remain in neutral, when the parking brake is applied and the machine is shifted into gear.Note: The transmission can be forced into gear when the parking brake is engaged. This is accomplished by cycling the shift lever. The shift lever must be cycled from the NEUTRAL position into gear. Next shift into the NEUTRAL position and then shift the machine into gear within 3 seconds.
