Service Brakes - Check Operation
Check the service brake operation on a level surface.
1. Move the machine forward slowly in first gear.2. Apply the service brake.3. If the service brake does not operate properly, stop the machine using the secondary brake if necessary. Contact your Caterpillar dealer and do not operate the machine until any repairs or adjustments necessary have been completed.Initial 250 Service Hours Or After Rebuild

Every 500 Service Hours Or 6 Months
Service Brakes - Adjust
The front and rear axles have three brake adjusters (1) to each brake unit.
1. Loosen locknuts (2).2. Turn each adjuster (1) counterclockwise until it bottoms.3. Turn each adjuster three quarters of a turn clockwise and tighten the locknuts.
