(15) Pressure relief valveDuring a side plate RAISE or LOWER command, supply oil flows through pressure reducing valve (13). This valve maintains side plate circuit pressure at 10000 kPa (1450 psi).During a left side plate RAISE command, the left side plate control valve (12) and left side plate float valves (3) and (4) shift. This action directs oil to the rod end of left side plate cylinders (2) and (5). In this case, the left side plate raises until the command is released or the cylinders reach end of travel. During a right side plate RAISE command, the corresponding right raise valve, float valves, and cylinders operate in the same manner.During a right side plate LOWER command, the right side plate control valve (14) and right side plate float valves (7) and (9) shift. This action directs oil to the head end of the front right side plate cylinder (6).Pressure reducing valve (15) is installed in the head end of the right rear side plate cylinder (8). This valve provides supply oil at a reduced pressure to the head end of the rear right side plate cylinder (8). This valve regulates cylinder movement to maintain the front of the right side plate higher than the rear.In this case, the right side plate descends until the command is released or the cylinders reach end of travel. This action directs oil to the head end of swing cylinder (2).Retraction of the swing cylinder is restricted by swing counterbalance valves (9). In either direction, cylinder end pressure combined with reduced actuation pressure is required to open the counterbalance valves. When the valve opens, oil from the low-pressure end of the cylinders is directed through return lines to hydraulic tank (11).
