The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.
If equipped with a sound suppression arrangement, refer to Special Instruction, "Installation of the 351-3820 Sound Suppression Ar (If Equipped)" for specific panel locations and the correct removal or installation procedure.
Install the truck body retaining cables. Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cable (Truck Body Retaining)".
Release the system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure Release".
Drain the rear axle oil cooler into a suitable container for storage or disposal.

Disconnect hose assembly (1), hose assemblies (2), and harness assembly (3). Remove the connecting hardware.

Disconnect hose assemblies (4), hose assembly (5), and harness assembly (6). Remove the connecting hardware.

Disconnect hose assembly (7) and hose assembly (8).

Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device onto oil cooler (9). The weight of oil cooler (9) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb).
Remove bolts (10). Remove oil cooler (9). Installation Procedure
Install oil cooler (9) in the reverse order.
Check the oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)".
