Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Use Tooling (A) to install bearing (12) to arm assembly (10) . Repeat the procedure for the other arm assembly.

Use Tooling (B) to install bearing (11) to arm assembly (10) . Repeat the procedure for the other arm assembly.

Install the arm assembly to the elevator. The arm assembly weighs 30 kg (66 lb). Install ring (9) and three bolts (8) to arm assembly (10) . Remove the tooling from the arm assembly. Repeat the procedure for the other side.

Install the elevator to the scraper bowl. The elevator weighs 908 kg (2000 lb).

Position the arm assembly to the scraper bowl. Install pin (7) to bracket (6) . Install bar (5) and two bolts (4) to bracket (6) . Remove the tooling from the arm assembly. Repeat the procedure for the other side.Note: Make an adjustment to the shims as necessary to get a clearance of 5 3 mm (0.2 0.12 inch) between the arm assemblies and the scraper bowl.

Install the arm assembly to the scraper bowl. The arm assembly weighs 42 kg (93 lb). Install eight bolts (3) to the scraper bowl. Install eight bolts (1) to the elevator (2) . Remove the tooling from the arm assembly. Repeat the procedure for the other side.End By: Install the elevator drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Elevator Drive - Install".
