Remove two bolts (4), the washers and the retainers that hold tube assembly (6) to aftercooler core (5) .

Loosen two hose clamps (8) that hold hose (7) to bonnet (9) and tube assembly (6). Remove tube assembly (6) and hose (7) from bonnet (9) .

Loosen two hose clamps (11) that hold hose (12) to bonnet (10) and tube assembly (13). Slide hose (12) toward tube assembly (13) .

Disconnect hose assembly (16) from bonnet (10). Remove tie strap (14) that holds wire harness (15) to the clip. Place wire harness (15) aside.

Put identification marks on four bolts (19) prior to removal for installation purposes. Remove four bolts (19) and the washers that hold elbow (18) to oil cooler core (17) .

Position a suitable lifting sling around brake diverter valve (22), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist. Remove four bolts (21) and the washers that hold manifold (20) to oil cooler core (17). Lower brake diverter valve (22) out of the way. Remove the lifting sling from brake diverter valve (22) .

Position a suitable lifting sling around oil cooler core (17), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist.

Remove two bolts (24), the washers, and the nuts that hold bracket (23) to the frame assembly.

Remove two bolts (26), the washers, and the nuts that hold bracket (25) to the frame assembly. Remove oil cooler core (17). The weight of oil cooler core (17) is 78 kg (171 lb).

Put identification marks on four bolts (27) and two bolts (28) prior to removal for installation purposes. Position oil cooler core (17), as shown. Remove four bolts (27), the clip, and the washers that hold bracket assembly (23) to oil cooler core (17). Remove bracket assembly (23) from oil cooler core (17) .

Remove the remaining two bolts (28) and the washers that hold bonnet (10) to oil cooler core assembly (17). Remove bonnet (10) and gasket (29) (not shown) from oil cooler core assembly (17) .

Put identification marks on four bolts (30) and two bolts (31) prior to removal for installation purposes. Remove four bolts (30) and the washers that hold bracket assembly (25) to bonnet (9). Remove bracket assembly (25) from bonnet (9) .

Remove two remaining bolts (31) that hold bonnet (9) to oil cooler core (17). Remove bonnet (9) and gasket (32) (not shown) from oil cooler core (17) .

Use a rod of 3 mm (0.125 inch) diameter in order to clean oil cooler core (17) .
