GENERATOR SET,
Compatible equipment models: 2527377:
Information:
1. Move forward while lowering the dozer blade. Lower the dozer blade only enough to engage a load it can easily handle. 2. The haul road can usually be maintained by occasionally traveling at moderate speed with the dozer blade skimming high spots. 3. Doze with the machine in a straight line if at all possible. 4. Work areas can be kept level by smoothing high spots with the dozer blade.Grapple Skidders
Correct snubber adjustment will allow grapple to occasionally contact the boom when operating on very rough terrain.
If the grapple swings too freely, the grapple and boom will be damaged. To decrease the swing, remove shims from the snubber spring assembly. If the snubber is too tight the operator may encounter positioning problems with the grapple. To increase the swing, add shims to the snubber spring assembly.
Grappling logs
Do not attempt to turn the skidder around on a steep grade. Reduce travel speed and steering angle on steep grades.
The pattern in which the timber has fell is important to the operation, when a grapple machine is used. The timber should be fell in a herring bone pattern (parallel lines at an angle to the skid trail) or grouped along the skid trail for improved production. 1. On a hill, maneuver the skidder into position by driving uphill past the logs to the top of the hill, then turn and head downhill or ...2. ... turn around at the bottom of the hill and back into position.3. On a level surface, line up the rear end of the skidder with the butt end of the logs approximately 1 meter (3 feet) from rear of the skidder. This will ensure that the end of the logs will be close to the butt plate when the logs a raised. 4. When small groups of logs are to be assembled into a larger group for transport. Place the first group on the ground, pick up the additional groups and place them in a "X" pattern with the first group. The center of the "X" should be approximately 1 meter (3 feet) from the end of the first group of logs. Grapple the combination load at the center "X" so that the logs do not spread during travel.5. Grapple pressure on the load is provided by an accumulator in the grapple close circuit. After initial clamping of the load, hold the grapple control lever in the "close" position for approximately 3 seconds to charge the accumulator. If during travel the load begins to shift move the control lever to the "close" position for approximately 3 seconds to recharge the accumulator.Traveling
Be sure all persons are clear of the logs before moving the skidder. The tail end of the tree length logs, can throw objects at bystanders.
1. Raise the dozer blade high enough to clear obstacles and to protect the radiator. 2. Traveling up and down hills. Avoid traveling at an angle to the slope, or the machine may tip. 3. Match your travel speed
