Information:

The bores in the connecting rod must be within specifications or the bearings will not fit properly. If the bores in the connecting rod have worn too much, the bearings will fit loosely. If the bearing spins in the journal, the connecting rod may become damaged. The following components may also be damaged due to lack of lubrication:
Piston and piston rings
Piston pin and bearings
Crankshaft and bearingsMeasure the bores in the connecting rod and ensure that the bores meet the diameters according to specifications. When you install the connecting rod, follow the instructions for tightening the rod cap bolts. Refer to Specifications, "Connecting Rod".
