General Procedure
Rear suspension lines contain fluid at high pressure. Personal injury can result from improper servicing. Lower suspension fully before working on hydraulic lines.Suspension system may drop machine suddenly leaving no clearance between the axle housing, main frame, tires, and mud guards.Working in these areas can result in personal injury or death by crushing. Stay clear until the engine is stopped and the suspension has been fully lowered.
1. With the machine parked on level ground, block the wheels and disengage the parking brake.2. Attach hoses to the suspension purge valves on either side of the trailer and put the free ends into suitable containers.3. Open the purge valves and allow the suspension to fully lower.4. Close the purge valves.5. Set the rear suspension to the correct height as described in the appropriate Service Manual and Operation and/or Maintenance Manual.6. Engage the parking brake and remove the wheel blocks.Check the hydraulic tank oil level.
Make reference to this procedure in your Operation and/or Maintenance Manual and include it in any routine servicing systems you may be using for your equipment.
