Adjust Moldboard Float Pressure
Moldboard float pressure is adjusted at the factory to 275-345 kPa (40-50 psi). The possible pressure range is 138-1035 kPa (20-150 psi).If the moldboard leaves rubble behind, the float pressure can be adjusted upward. However, increased pressure will also increase the rate of wear of the moldboard blade. Increase the pressure in increments of 70 kPa (10 psi).1. Stop the machine on level ground, apply the parking brake and lower the moldboard to the ground. Leave the engine running.2. Read the pressure on gauge (2).3. Turn control (1) clockwise until the pressure has increased 70 kPa (10 psi).4. Operate the machine on a job. If rubble is still being left behind, repeat the procedure.
