Start By:a. remove coupling group-torque 1. Remove two of the bolts that hold the damper and the adapter to the crankshaft. Install Tool (A) where these were removed.2. Remove the remainder of the bolts.3. Slide vibration damper (3) and adapter (2) onto Tool (A).4. Use a hoist and a strap to remove vibration damper and adapter as a unit (4) from the crankshaft.
The vibration damper has marks (1) on the hub and ring. These marks indicate the condition of the vibration damper. If the marks are not in alignment, install a new damper.
