Manual Auxiliary Flow Calibration Procedure
The following procedure details an alternate method of calibrating the auxiliary flow rates, outside of the pre-set calibration procedure in Cat E.T. To ensure accurate flow rates, use this method. Note: Auxiliary valve #1" Port A Super High Flow", auxiliary valve #1 "Port B Super High Flow", and auxiliary valve #1" Port A Minimum Current" need no calibration.
Prior to beginning calibrations, attach a 4C-9910 Portable Hydraulic Tester service tool to the work tool connectors. Note: An electrical jumper will be needed to adjust the XPS currents.
Open Cat E.T. Note: 433-6456 Machine Software Gp or newer is needed to perform this calibration.

Select the Configuration Tool (A) from the top toolbar.

Select "Valve Calibration Currents" (B) from the left side column.

Select "Auxiliary Valve #1 Port B Solenoid Max Current" (11). This current controls the standard flow in the reverse direction, thumb roller down. With the engine speed at high idle and the 4C-9910 Portable Hydraulic Tester connected, press the thumb roller to the downward most position. The target flow rate is 86 L/min (22.7 US gpm).

Select the "Change" (BA) button on the bottom toolbar to change the current value. A dialog box will appear. Enter the new value in the (BB) "New Value" box and select (BC) "OK".

A confirmation box will appear. Select "Yes" to confirm the new value. Verify the flow rate. If the value is not correct, repeat the process, adjusting the value in 0.010 increments.
Select "Auxiliary Valve #one Port B Solenoid High Flow Current" (14). Repeat Step 7 and Step 8. Use the same values used in Step 6.
Select "Auxiliary Valve #1 Port A Solenoid Max Current" (10). Repeat Step 7 and Step 8. Use the same values used in Step 6.

(16) 175-6799 Control Plug (17) 8T-7525 O-Ring Seal For XPS machines, a 175-6799 Control Plug (16) and a 8T-7525 O-Ring Seal (17) can be installed in the implement pump that will reduce the pump displacement and improve cooling performance. Follow the steps in this section to perform installation.
Measure XPS flow rate before changing the pump limiter.
Attach a 4C-9910 Portable Hydraulic Tester service tool.
Start machine and bring to operating temperature 60° C (140° F).
Jumper pin B of the work tool harness to pin K of the work tool harness.
Press thumb roller to forward most position.
