3. Disconnect the oil lines (1) and (3) from the pump.4. Put plugs over the openings in the pump and oil lines to keep dirt out.5. Remove the nuts (2) that hold the pump to timing cover and plate.6. Remove the hydraulic oil pump.Install Hydraulic Oil Pump
1. Install the pump (1) on the engine. Install the nuts that hold it in position.2. Remove the plugs (2) from openings in pump and oil lines.3. Connect the oil lines.4. Install the engine side cover.5. Fill hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.Disassemble Hydraulic Oil Pump
start by:a) remove hydraulic oil pump Be sure the outside of pump is clean before disassembly. 1. Bend the lock and loosen the nut (1) until it is even with end of shaft. 2. Install tooling (A) on gear and loosen gear from shaft.3. Remove tooling (A) from gear. Remove the nut, lock, spacer and gear. 4. Remove bolts (2) and remove flange (3). Remove the O-ring seal, snap ring and the lip type seal from flange. 5. Remove the bushings (4) and (5) from the drive and idler gear. Remove the O-ring seals from bushings.6. Remove the drive gear (6) and idler gear. Make a note of the position of the drive gear and idler gear for installation.7. Remove the O-ring seals (7) from pump body.Assemble Hydraulic Oil Pump
1. Clean all parts before assembly. 2. Install the drive gear (1) and idler gear (2) in pump body. Install the gears in same position in the body as they were when removed. 3. Install the O-ring seals (3) on the bushings (4). Install the bushings over the shaft of gears.4. Install the O-ring seals on the pump body. 5. Install the seal in the flange with tools (A). The lip of seal must be toward the inside of pump. Install snap ring to hold seal in place.6. Install O-ring on flange. 7. Install the flange (5) on the pump body in alignment with the dowels.8. Install the bolts that hold flange on the body.9. Install gear, spacer, lock and nut. Tighten the nut to a torque of 50 5 lb. ft. (70 7 N m).end by:a) install hydraulic oil pump
