When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Remove bracket (1).

Attach a suitable lifting device to link (2). The weight of link (2) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb). Attach Tooling (A) to pin assembly (3). The weight of pin (2) and Tooling (B) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb). Remove pin (3) and lower link (2) on to suitable cribbing. Inspect lip seals (4) and replace if necessary.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to bucket (5). The weight of bucket (5) is approximately 5897 kg (13000 lb).

Remove pin assembly (6) and bucket (5). Installation Procedure
Use Illustration (8) as a guide for the pins and the pin joints that are being referenced in the procedure.
Install bucket (5) in the reverse order of removal.
Check and replace lip seals if necessary. If replacing the lip seal apply Tooling (D).
Insure mating surfaces are clean and apply Tooling (E).
