Location of the Pilot Accumulator
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Release the pressure from the hydraulic system.Reference: For more information about releasing the hydraulic pressure, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release"
for the machine that is being serviced.To access the pilot accumulator, remove the floorplate over the hydraulic tank on the right side of the machine.

Checking the Nitrogen Charge of the Pilot Accumulator
Install a 1S-8938 Chuck to the 7S-5437 Nitrogen Charging Group. Install a 8T-0854 Pressure Gauge in the tee for gauge (5). Install a 8T-0854 Pressure Gauge in the tee for gauge (1).
Rotate valve handle (7) on chuck (8) in the counterclockwise direction until the valve is fully retracted. Turn the handle for valve (4) clockwise to shut off any flow.

Remove cover (1) from the top of the accumulator. Install a 224-5152 Gas Valve (Male to Male) or 222-2367 Accumulator
