Test Conditions
Operate all of the hydraulic systems until the hydraulic oil temperature is above 65 °C (149 °F).
Steer the tractor to the right 90°. This will provide an area away from the elevator chain.
Secure the elevator flights in order to prevent movement of the elevator flights.Adjustment Procedure

(1) Test port for the gear pump (elevator) (2) Piston pump (elevator) (3) Forward test port for the piston pump (elevator) (4) Reverse test port for the piston pump (elevator)
Install a 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge in test port (1). Connect the gauge to a hose that will extend into the operator's compartment. This will permit the monitoring of the pressure at all times.
Install a 8T-0861 Pressure Gauge in forward test port (3). Install a 8T-0861 Pressure Gauge in the reverse test port (4). Connect both of the gauges to hoses that will extend into the operator's compartment. This will permit the monitoring of the pressure at all times.

(5) Forward relief valve (6) Pressure override valve (7) Reverse relief valve
The pressure in the forward and reverse test ports should be 40000 1000 kPa (5802 145 psi). The adjustment screw for pressure override valve (6) must be turned in order to check the pressures. The pressure override valve should be set at 36500 345 kPa (5294 50 psi). The pressure of the pressure override valve is less than the forward relief valve and the reverse relief valve. Turn the adjustment screw for the pressure override valve in one-half turn. Turn the adjustment screw for the relief valves in one-half turn.Note: Do not engage the elevator circuit for more than ten seconds at a time when you are adjusting the forward relief valve or the reverse relief valve. The pressure should stop increasing at 40000 1000 kPa (5802 145 psi). If the pressure stops increasing before the specified range turn in the pressure override valve. Turn the screw in one quarter turn for every 2500 kPa (363 psi) below 40000 kPa (5802 psi).
Turn the adjustment screws in one-half turn for forward relief valve (5) and reverse relief valve (7) .

(8) Relief valve (piston motor)
Turn the adjustment screw on relief valve (8) for the left side in one-half turn.
Start the engine and run at low idle. Watch the gauge that is monitoring the pressure in reverse test port (4). Slowly stall the elevator in the FORWARD direction. Do not allow the pressure to exceed 43500 kPa (6309 psi). Hold the elevator control lever at full flow for one-half second.
Move the elevator control back to the NEUTRAL position. The engine will stall if the lever is held at full flow for more than one-half second. The pressure in reverse test port (4) should read 40000 kPa (5802 psi).
Step 4 through Step 6 must be repeated for the other relief valve (8) on the right side of the machine.
Test and adjust until the pressure gauge reads 40000 kPa (5802 psi) for relief valve (8) for the left and right sides.
