966E LoadersReference: Service Magazine; August 24, 1987; Page 2, "Radiator Conversion Groups (Folded Core To Multiple Row Module) Available".In some applications, dust, fibrous, or fluffy debris can plug folded core radiator modules on 966D and 966E Loaders. This causes extra cleaning of the radiator. Multiple row modules are available for field installation to replace the folded core modules.
The multiple row modules have a fin density of only nine fins per inch as compared to 33 fins per inch in the folded core modules. Because the multiple row modules are more open to air flow through the core due to the lower fin density, they are less likely to be plugged by fine, fibrous, or fluffy debris. Each folded core module is directly replaced by a new module that has low fin density, except for the two folded core modules for the oil cooler which are replaced by a single hydraulic oil cooler core. Some fabrication is required to mount the oil cooler core and to attach the line. Use Special Instruction SEHS8917.
The multiple row module cores are adaptable to all earlier 966D and 966E Loaders that use folded radiator cores, which are 99Y4215-Up, 94X4689-Up, and 35S2075-Up.
