Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the hammer from the housing. Refer to the Service Manual, "Hydraulic Hammer - Remove".

The accumulator is filled with dry nitrogen. Sudden release of nitrogen pressure can cause personal injury.To avoid personal injury, release the nitrogen pressure from the accumulator before disassembly.

Remove plug (1).

Slowly turn purge screw (2) in a counterclockwise direction. Turn the screw until the nitrogen gas starts to escape from the accumulator. Stop turning the screw.
When the gas has escaped, turn the purge screw for another 360 degrees in a counterclockwise direction.

Install the eyebolts (3).
Remove the eight bolts (4).

Install a suitable lifting device (5). Refer to Table 1 for the weight of the accumulator on your hammer.

Slowly lift the accumulator (6) from the pressure control valve (7).
