Remove the plug from engine block outlet (K). Install elbow (25) in engine block outlet (K). Refer to Illustration 34 for the orientation of the elbow.Tighten the elbow to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft).Note: Use thread sealant in the installation of the elbow in the engine block outlet.
Route hose (G) to engine block outlet (K). Install the hose to elbow (25) with a band clamp (8).Tighten the hose clamp to a torque of 6 1 N m (4 1 lb ft).

Secure hose (G) to the radiator hose. Place clip (4) around the radiator hose and place clip (17) around hose (G). Use a M10x1.5 bolt (11), two hard washers (9), and a M10x1.5 nut (10) to secure the two loops together, as shown. Refer to Illustration 35.Tighten the bolt to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Secure hose (G) to the elbow assembly on the outlet of the turbocharger. Use clip (17), a hard washer (2), and a M8x1.25 bolt (12). Refer to Illustration 36.Tighten the bolt to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Secure hose (G) to the elbow assembly on the outlet of the turbocharger. Use clip (17), a hard washer (2), and a M10x1.50 bolt (43). Refer to Illustration 37.Tighten the bolt to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).Completing and Checking the Installation
Plug the heater electrical connector into Connector A-C8 in the 216-4702 Platform Harness As (Lower).

Position in the fuse block for the 20 amp fuse for the heater fan
Check that a 20 amp fuse is installed in the fuse block for the heater fan. Refer to Illustration 38.
Refill the cooling system.Refer to “Coolant Recommendations” and refer to “Cooling System Specifications” in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine.
Start the engine. Run the engine without the radiator cap until the thermostat opens and the coolant level stabilizes. Maintain the coolant level in the sight gauge.
Stop the engine. Install the radiator cap.
Check the hoses and check the fittings for leaks.
Start the engine.
Check the heater for proper operation.

The temperature control knob (H1) adjusts the output temperature. Refer to Illustration 39.
Turn the temperature control knob clockwise to increase the temperature.
Turn the temperature control knob counterclockwise to decrease the temperature.
The fan switch (H2) controls the two-speed blower fan motor. Refer to Illustration 39.
Press the rear portion of the rocker switch for low fan speed.
Press the front portion of the rocker switch for high fan speed.
