Information:

To prevent possible personal injury, make sure the pressure in the air system is zero before any lines are disconnected.
3. Disconnect air lines (1) and (2) from the master cylinder and rotochamber. The hydraulic and transmission tank were removed for better photo illustration.4. Disconnect oil lines (3), (5) and (6) from the brake master cylinder and rotochamber.5. Fasten a hoist to master cylinder and rotochamber (4). Remove the three bolts that hold the master cylinder and rotochamber to the hydraulic and transmission tank, and remove it. The weight of the master cylinder and rotochamber is 34 kg (75 lb.). The following steps are for installation of the master cylinder and rotochamber.6. Put the master cylinder and rotochamber in position on the hydraulic and transmission tank, and install the bolts that hold it. Air line (1) is from the other rear brake master cylinder and rotochamber. Air line (2) is from the brake relay valve. Oil line (3) is from the top of the brake oil makeup tank. Oil line (5) is from the bottom of the brake oil makeup tank. Oil line (6) is from the rear slack adjuster.7. Connect oil lines (3), (5) and (6) to the master cylinder and rotochamber.8. Connect air lines (1) and (2) to the master cylinder and rotochamber.9. Fill the brake oil makeup tank with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.10. Bleed the air from the brake system. See Testing And Adjusting for the correct procedure to bleed the brake system.Disassemble Master Cylinder And Rotochamber (Brakes And Retarder)

Pull tube assembly (4), and remove it from the power piston. 4. Apply air pressure at the inlet air port to extend the rod and power piston (5) as shown.5. With the rod extended, remove power piston retainer ring (6) and power piston (5). Remove the flange and gasket. Inspect the gasket, and make a replacement if it is torn or damaged. 6. The brake cylinder groups are under compressed spring force at all times. Do not start to disassemble a cylinder group until the following instructions are completely understood. Use tooling (A) to slowly release the tension on the brake spring. Keep the cylinder group on center with tooling (A) as the spring force is being released.
