Group 1
Replace existing 650 mm diameter grill and shroud with the new 660 mm diameter grill and shroud. Check also the radiator alignment, and if necessary correct it. For details see Section Rework Procedure.
Group 2
Check the radiator alignment and if necessary, correct it. For details see the attached Rework Procedure.

This procedure applies to Group 1 and Group 2 except for steps 6-10 and 13. Steps 6-10 and 13 apply to Group 1 only.
1. Check the gap between the radiator enclosure group and the radiator all way along the radiator (see Illustration 1). Record the value. This measurement will determine whether a seal has to be added or a new (thicker) seal has to be installed.2. Remove the radiator enclosure group from the machine. Follow the instructions as given in the SENR6257 Disassembly & Assembly 3116 Engine Supplement for M318 Excavator.3. If you have measured a distance of 20-30mm remove the seal from the inside of the enclosure group and install three seals (30mm thick): 162-7747 seal (M318/M320) [1], 162-7748 (M318/M320) [2], 162-7749 (M318) or 162-7750 (M320) [3].4. If you have measured a distance of 30-40mm add three seals (20 mm thick): 122-8187 seal (M318/M320) [1], 122-8188 seal (M318/M320) [2], 126-5253 (M320) or 122-8418 (M318) [3]. See Illustration 2 for details.5. Use the 5H-2471 adhesive (or equivalent) to glue the seals together. For steps 6 - 10 and 13 refer to Illustration 3 for details.
6. Remove the grill from the radiator. 7. Remove the 120-0300 fan. On M318, the 7C-2483 fan adapter will come off with the fan, on M320 the 134-0716 fan adapter needs to be removed seperately.8. Remove the shroud from the radiator.9. Install the new shroud, having the 660mm internal diameter.10. Install the fan adapter (7C-2483 for M318 or 134-0716 for M320) and the 120-0300 fan.11. Check the gap between the fan and the shroud around the circumference. There should be at least a 12mm distance (radial) between any fan tip and the shroud. See Illustration 4. If
