When a new/different VIMS source and configuration software class previous to version 9.3X are installed, the message center is set to a contrast level default of 100%. This makes the display very difficult to view. Contrast adjustment will be required. To gain access to the contrast control through the key pad, enter the service program code for "CON" (contrast), which is "266" then the "OK" key. The message center begins to "scroll" through the contrast settings. The arrow keys are used to raise or lower the contrast setting from 0% to 100% (50% contrast is a typical setting). Press the "OK" key to accept contrast setting and exit adjustment mode.
