8S-7615 Pin 4 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking.When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.

Install Tooling (B), Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device onto carriage (10).

Install ejector blade (11) onto the truck body. The weight of the ejector blade is approximately 1738 kg (3832 lb). Note: Align the ejector blade and slowly travel the ejector blade toward the front of the machine. Make sure that the roller assemblies on each side of the ejector blade are correctly aligned with the rails on the truck body.

Install plates (13) and bolts (12) onto both sides of the ejector body.

Loosen nuts (2) on both sides of the ejector blade. Turn bolts (1) on both sides of the ejector blade in order to raise the floor rollers off the floor of the truck body. Note: Raising the floor rollers prevents movement of the ejector blade.
Remove Tooling (B) and Tooling (C).

Use a suitable lifting device in order to support ejector cylinder (6). The weight of ejector cylinder (6) is approximately 318 kg (701 lb). Remove Tooling (A).

Start the engine and slowly extend ejector cylinder (6) toward gimbal assembly (9) on the ejector blade. Align the ejector cylinder (6) with gimbal assembly (9). Stop the engine and turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Install bearing caps (8) and bolts (7) that retain ejector cylinder (6) to gimbal assembly (9).

Install covers (5), bolts (4), and hose assemblies (3) to both side of the ejector blade.

Turn bolts (1) on both sides of the ejector blade in order to lower the floor rollers onto the floor of the truck body. Tighten nuts (2) on both sides of the ejector blade.
Remove the steering frame locks. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
Raise the tailgate. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Tailgate".
