Machines that have a 271-7700 Sideshift Arrangement or a 304-4749 Sideshift Arrangement can have poor operation, if the frame rails are not lubricated correctly. The frame can have vibration and sticking on the frame rails. The vibration can be noticeable when you move the frame from the right side to the left side.Solution

Apply grease to top of rail.

Apply grease to the bottom of rail.A thin film of multipurpose grease should be added to the top of the top rail for the slide frame and the bottom of the bottom rail for the slide frame. Do not apply lubricant on the outside face. Lubricate the rails at weekly intervals.
