Operation Description:This procedure should be performed when the machine is in the Power Mode and the Machine Control ECM will not activate the Economy ModeTest Step 1. CHECK FOR COMMUNICATIONS ERRORSCheck the Monitor for an active communication error Event. The communication error Events do not have EID number assigned to them. The Monitor will display a communication error message on the display when one of the following errors occurs.

Engine Controller Communication
Soft Switch Panel Communication
CAN Data Link ErrorExpected Result:There are no active communications errors present.Results:
OK - There are no active communications errors present. Proceed to Test Step 2
NOT OK - An active communication error is displayed on the Monitor. Repair: All communications errors require inspection of the circuits of the CAN Data Link. Refer to Systems Operation, "Warning Operation". Troubleshooting for communication errors is discussed under the title "Monitor Communication Errors"STOPTest Step 2.
