Remove Exhaust Manifolds (3516)
START BY:a. remove turbochargers (C153) 1. Fasten nylon straps and a hoist to exhaust manifold assembly (1). 2. Remove bolts (2) that fasten the exhaust manifolds to each cylinder head assembly.3. Remove exhaust manifold assembly (1) and the gaskets from the engine. The weight of the exhaust manifold assembly is 79 kg (175 lb.).4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the other exhaust manifold assembly.Install Exhaust Manifold
1. Put new exhaust manifold gaskets (1) in position on the cylinder head assemblies. A 3/8"-16 NC guide bolt or tag wire can be used to keep the exhaust manifold gaskets in position during exhaust manifold installation. 2. Use nylon straps and a hoist to install exhaust manifold assembly (2). Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize on the exhaust manifold bolts. Install the bolts, and tighten them to a torque of 45 7 (33 5 lb.ft.).3. Do Steps 1 and 2 for the other exhaust manifold assembly.END BY:a. install turbocharger (C153)
