Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Perform the rework steps on one side of the elevator at a time. The elevator frame can be reworked in the bowl.
1) Remove the existing 6G5982 Ring and the hardware attached to it on both sides of the elevator assembly. They will be replaced in the last step with new parts.

2) The (6) threaded holes on the elevator frame need to be tapped deeper for the new hardware. Extend the threads 5mm deeper into pin that is welded on the elevator frame by using a 5/8-11-2B tap and running the threads to a total depth of 34mm from the surface of the pin. The existing threaded holes do not need to be drilled any deeper.

3) Install the new (2) 312-8843 Rings, (6) 198-4780 Washer-Hard, and (6) 8T6871 Bolts.
