(1) Coolant lines
(2) Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) line
(3) Electrical connector
(4) Injector assembly
Remove the right-hand side panel assembly of the engine compartment to allow access to the upper portion of the diesel particulate filter.
Remove diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) line (2) from injector assembly (4).
Remove coolant lines (1) from the injector assembly.
Remove electrical connector (3) from the injector assembly.
Remove the nuts that retain the injector assembly and remove the injector assembly. Remove the old gasket.
Install a new gasket. The steel side of the gasket should face towards diesel particulate filter (DPF) outlet.
Install the new injector assembly.
Apply anti-seize compound to the threads of the studs. Install the retaining nuts on the studs.
Torque the retaining nuts of the injector assembly to 5 N m (3.7 lb ft). Retighten all nuts to 5 N m (3.7 lb ft), then turn an additional 90°.
Connect the electrical connector.
Connect the coolant lines.
Connect the DEF line.
Install the right-hand side panel assembly of the engine compartment.
