This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4503" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Program supersedes service letter PS4110 (July 8, 1997) for these D10R Track-Type Tractors only. All specified D10R Track-Type Tractors are required to be flashed under this program regardless of when PS4110 may or may not have been completed.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the August 9, 1998 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product, and Parts Needed (Note Group 3).

On certain D10R Track-Type Tractors, the software may have been designed which can cause excessive smoke, radiator plugging from air velocity too slow, diagnostic codes that appear without a failure or loss of power due to premature wear of the fuel injectors.
