This special instruction contains the procedure to install the position sensor group. The new sensor has more reliability.Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.Safety Section

Personal injury or death can result from improper assembly procedures.Do not attempt any assembly until you have read and understand the assembly instructions.
Accidental engine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the equipment.To avoid accidental engine starting, disconnect the battery cable from the negative (−) battery terminal. Completely tape all metal surfaces of the disconnected battery cable end in order to prevent contact with other metal surfaces which could activate the engine electrical system.Place a Do Not Operate tag at the Start/Stop switch location to inform personnel that the equipment is being worked on.

Check the error code log from the monitor. Select “Service” (Input service password) – “Diagnostic” – “Logged Diagnostic Codes”.

If there is error code 2899 and/or 2900, replace the sensor with new one. Error code 2899 for Pump #1 (A) sensor, 2900 for Pump #2 (B) sensor.

(D) BoltNote: In case 458-6031 Position Sensor Gp is ordered, no need to replace 448-1451 Sensor with the new sensor which is located inside of the pump.
Remove sensor and sensor guard (C) with bolts (D). Install new sensor (1) and sensor guard (C) with bolts (D). Tighten the bolts to 12 3 N m (106 26 lb in).
Refer to KENR9615 / , KENR9995 to perform the calibration.
