Information:
Machine Preparation
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.

Engine speed dial
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46 to 80° C (115 to 176° F).
Lower the stabilizers, the blade tip, and/or the implement in order to raise the front axle and the rear axle. This action will allow the wheels to turn freely. Note: All tires must be fully off the ground.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.

Connect tooling (E1) Cat ET and communication adapter (E2) to the service connector.
Start the engine.
Set the engine speed dial at "10".

Power mode control button located on the soft panel switch
Push down on the power mode control button in order to activate power mode. Note: The indicator light will be illuminated when power mode is activated.

Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) as displayed on the programmable function key in the monitor.
Disable the automatic engine speed control through the monitor by pressing the programmable button.

Joystick (front switch)
Disable the hydraulic modulation control, if equipped. Press the front switch on the right joystick in order to deactivate hydraulic modulation.
The air conditioning should be turned off for the following test. Calibration Procedure
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
Start Electronic Technician.
Select the "Machine ECM" from the list of available controls.

From the top menu, select "Service", "Calibrations", and "Travel Pedal Calibration".
After "Travel Pedal Calibration" is selected, the following "Warning" will appear on the ET screen: All of the conditions in this warning MUST be met in order to proceed with the calibration. Failure to comply with these conditions could result in serious injury or death. All of the following conditions must be met in order to proceed with the calibration.This calibration will cause all of the driving wheels on the machine to rotate.This calibration may be aborted at any time by releasing the travel pedal on the machine or by selecting the "Cancel" button on the ET screen.
When each of these steps have been met and the implications of performing this calibration are understood, select the "Accept" button.

Once the calibration has been run the calibration status will be recorded.
