- 2 231-4470 Bolt Use bolt 1 and bolt 2.
Length of 3/8 inch diameter bolt is 158.75 mm (6.250 inch).
- 8 231-4471 Bolt Use bolt 3 to bolt 10.
Length of 1/2 inch diameter bolt is 165.1 mm (6.50 inch).
- 6 8S-9191 Bolt Use bolt 11 to bolt 16.
Length of 3/8 inch diameter bolt is 101.6 mm (4.00 inch).
- 14 1A-5183 Bolt Use bolt 17, bolt 18, bolt 21 through bolt 30, bolt 32, and bolt 33.
Length of 3/8 inch diameter bolt is 120.65 mm (4.750 inch).
- 4 5B-9603 Bolt Use bolt 19, bolt 20, bolt 31, and bolt 34.
Length of 3/8 inch diameter bolt is 127.0 mm (5.00 inch).
- 2 0S-1619 Bolt Use bolt 35 and bolt 36.
Length of 3/8 inch diameter bolt is 76.2 mm (3.00 inch).
- - - Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts for the flywheel housing group:
Refer Illustration 1 for bolt tightening sequence.
1. Tighten bolt 1 and bolt 2 in a numerical sequence to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
2. Tighten bolt 3 through bolt 10 in a numerical sequence to 135 20 N m (100 15 lb ft).
3. Tighten bolt 11 through bolt 36 in a numerical sequence to 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft).
4. Again, tighten bolt 1 and bolt 2 in a numerical sequence to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft)
