Installation Procedure
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.

Use a strap and a suitable lifting device to support solenoid (15) and electric starting motor (18) .
Install the solenoid and the electric starting motor. The weight of the electric starting motor is 23 kg (51 lb).
Install three bolts (22) and the three washers that hold the electric starting motor to the engine.

Install wire assembly (19) and cable assemblies (17) and (21) .
Install nut (20) and the washer to the terminal on the bottom of electric starting motor (18) .

Connect wire assembly (16) to solenoid (15) .

Install cover (14) to the solenoid with the washer and nut (13) .

Install wire assembly (11) and cable assemblies (9), (10) and (12) to the solenoid.
Install the washer and nut (8) .

Position boot (7) over the terminal.

Position fuel priming pump (6) and the bracket assembly on the engine. Install the four washers and four bolts (5) .

Use Tool (A) to install lower fuel filter (4) to fuel filter base (3). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7204, "Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace" for the correct procedure.

Close valve (1) and valve (2) .
Open the fuel tank supply valve. Open the return valve for the fuel tank. Rotate the handles all the way in the clockwise direction in order to open the valves.
Close the hood. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Compartment Hood - Lower".
Connect the batteries.
