Remove the hydraulic pump from the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR9437, "Main Hydraulic Pump - Remove". Make sure that you plug all hose ends and connectors in order to prevent dirt from entering the system.

Pump seal retainer
Remove retaining ring (12). Refer to Illustration 3.

Pump seal
Remove cover (13) and lip seal (7). Refer to Illustration 4.
Install new lip seal (7) and install the cover (13) .

Location of cover bolts
Mark the position of the cover then remove 12 bolts (14) and washers (15). Refer to Illustration 5.
Thoroughly clean the inside of the cover and the area around the drive coupling and the flywheel housing.
Assemble the cover to the flywheel housing. Tighten the bolts (14) evenly to a torque of 34 N m (25 lb ft).

Location of grommet
Use grommet (10) to plug the hole in the cover. Make sure that the grommet is properly engaged in the hole. The grommet must not be allowed to fall out of the cover. There may be a casting line that prevents the grommet from seating correctly. File the casting line smooth if necessary. Refer to Illustration 6.

Location of putty (there are 11 similar locations to seal)
Use putty (11) to close the 11 gaps between the cover and the flywheel housing. Use the putty in accordance with the instructions that are on the container. The surface of the putty can be smoothed with a wet spatula or a wet putty knife. Refer to Illustration 7.

Location of pulleys
Replace the existing pulleys with pulley (8) and pulley (9). Use the procedures that are described in Disassembly and Assembly, RENR9439, "Fan Drive - Remove and Install". Refer to Illustration 8.
Adjust the fan belt.

Assemble the hydraulic pump to the machine and connect all of the lines that were previously removed. Tighten the four pump mounting bolts to a torque of 140 N m (103 lb ft). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR9437, "Main Hydraulic Pump - Install".
