Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

The drain and suction circuit is connected internally to the fan pump. So oil comes to pump case from the hydraulic tank through a suction line by using the drain port as an air purge line.Note: This purge process is required in case that:
Fan pump is replaced.
Hydraulic oil level becomes lower than the lowest level after replacing the other Hydraulic component parts.
Release the pressure inside the Hydraulic tank.Procedure

(1) Drain Nipple
Fill hydraulic tank to the correct level on the gauge.
Connect coupler hose to drain nipple (1) on side of fan pump.
Remove the coupler hose after the oil comes out from the coupler hose.Optional procedure
Fill hydraulic tank to the correct level on the gauge.
Remove drain nipple (1) on side of fan pump.
Install nipple (1) after the oil comes out from the port.
