Install two backup seals into piston (14) .Note: Backup seals (18) have a yellow strip (X) around the outside diameter. Make sure that the yellow strip (X) faces outward.
Install Teflon seals (17) into piston (14) .

Use a smooth metal dowel in order to seat the Teflon seals. You should go completely around the piston with the dowel for each seal.

Lubricate the contacting surfaces of Teflon seal (17) with the lubricant that is being sealed. Align the guide hole in piston (14) with guide hole in brake anchor (9). Carefully install the piston into the brake anchor. A mallet with a soft head may be used in order to assist the installation of the piston.

Slide brake anchor (9) to the edge of the work bench. Install guide (13), spring (16) and Tool (B) .

Screw the bolt which is part of Tool (B) into brake anchor (9). This will compress spring (16) (not shown). At the same time, the tool will push guide (13) out of piston (14). Push the guide until your are able to install pin (15) into guide (13). Carefully unscrew the bolt until the spring pressure is released before removing Tool (B) .
Repeat steps 14 and 15 until all four springs, guides and pins have been installed.

Install O-ring seal (9) onto brake anchor (9) and apply a thin coat of 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to the O-ring seal.
Attach a suitable nylon lifting sling and a suitable hoist in order to rotate brake anchor (9) onto the opposite side. The weight of the brake anchor is 87 kg (192 lb).

Install four plug (11) and the O-ring seals into brake anchor (9) .

Install Tool (A) onto brake anchor (9). Carefully install the brake anchor onto housing (3) and install 42 bolts (10) and the washers.

Remove two plugs (19) and the O-ring seals from brake anchor (9) .

Insert two 3/8 bolts (20) and screw the bolts into brake anchor (9). This action will cause the piston for the brake to compress the friction discs and plates. The friction discs and plates will be clamped in position.

Carefully lift the service brake assembly off Tool (C) and place the brake assembly on a suitable work bench.

Attach Tooling (A) (not shown) onto bolts (2A). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) and housing (3). The weight of housing (3) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb). Place housing assembly (3) onto the spindle. Install bolts (1) .End By: Install the spindle, the service brakes, and the wheel.
