Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI30273" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Donot perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the terminationdate without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst. The 2080928 Elbow from 1800600 Lines Group - Airmay burst on certain 966G II and 972G II Wheel Loaders. This may occurat low hours and results in noticeable reduction in engine power. The elbowneeds to be replaced with a new 2171601 Elbow.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Raise the engine hood fully.
Remove the clamps and rubber elbow (RH side ofthe engine).
Install the 2171601 Elbow.
Tighten the clamps (two each side of the elbow)to 11 N.m.
