Use Tooling (E) and a suitable press in order to remove shaft assembly (51) from the idler gear assembly. The shaft will fall from the press when the shaft is removed. The weight of shaft assembly (51) is approximately 40 kg (90 lb).

Remove bearing cone (52) . Remove gears (53) and (54) . The weight of gear (53) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). The weight of gear (54) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).

Use Tooling (E) or the gear assembly in order to remove bearing cone (52) .

Disconnect tube assemblies (56) . Remove block (55) .

Install bolts (45) at equal height without the washer and the O-ring seal to gear assembly (57) .

Install the rod and the adapter of Tooling (H) to gear assembly (57) .

Install the remaining parts of Tooling (H) in order to gear assembly (57) from the gear case group. Remove Tooling (H) .

Attach Tooling (J) and a suitable lifting device to gear assembly (57) . The weight of gear assembly (57) is approximately 131 kg (290 lb). Remove gear assembly (57) .

Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to transfer gear (68) . The weight of transfer gear (68) is approximately 177 kg (390 lb). Remove bolts (69) . Install bolts (69) in order to remove transfer gear (68) .
