Before assembly, lubricate the threads of the bolts and the bearing surfaces with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound.Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts of the half flange (2).
Tighten bolts (3) in any sequence to 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (4) in any sequence to 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).
Illustration 3 g01538253Use the following procedure to tighten the compressor clamp assembly (5) and turbine clamp assembly (6):Note: Before assembly, lubricate the threads of the clamp assemblies with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound.
Tighten the clamp assemblies to 16 N m (12 lb ft).
Loosen the clamp assemblies to two to three turns.
Gently tap around the clamp assemblies with a soft faced hammer.
Again, tighten the clamp assemblies to 12.4 to 14.7 N m (110 to 130 lb in).
