When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

The 7E-0329 Valve Cover Bases change level 04 has a dimensional quality issue.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 7E-0329 change 04 Valve Cover Bases in dealer parts stock.
Inspect 7E-0329 change 04 Valve Cover Bases for a machined recess on each end. Image 1 is an example of a good part with the machined recess on each end.
If the 7E-0329 change 04 Valve Cover Base is equipped with a machined recess on each end, mark the packaging to indicate it has been inspected according to this program and return the part to dealer parts stock.
If the 7E-0329 change 04 Valve Cover Base is not equipped with a machined recess on each end, remove the part from dealer parts stock.
