Rework Procedure
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
1. Remove both vibratory gear motors from the machine. Refer to Gear Motor(Vibratory)-Remove and Install, in the Disassembly and Assembly manual (UENR0159).
2. Remove the adapter shown in Image 1.1.1 and retain for reuse.

3. Measure the gap (A) indicated in image 1.2.1 , be sure to push the vibratory shaft in towards the center of the drum before measuring. Do this for both front and rear drums.

4. Use the measurement for gap (A) to find the value in the table shown in Image 1.3.1.

5. Place the coupler on the motor shaft so that the measurement (B) in Image 1.4.1 matches the dimension from the table, Image 1.3.1 and tighten the set screw. Use Loctite 243 on the set screw. Do this separately for both drums.

6. Install both vibratory gear motors on the machine. Refer to Gear Motor(Vibratory)- Remove and Install, in the Disassembly and Assembly manual (UENR0159). Use new o-rings on the fittings before reinstalling.
7. Add make-up hydraulic fluid as necessary.
8. Start machine at low idle, propel in forward and reverse to remove any air in the propel system. Steer the machine right and left several times to remove any air from the vibratory system.
9. Park the machine on soft dirt or place tires under the drums.
10. With the machine running at low idle, engage the vibratory system in front drum only mode for 30 seconds. Disengage vibration.
11. With the machine running at low idle, engage the vibratory system in both drum mode. After 30 seconds move throttle switch to high idle with the vibration system still activated. Run at high idle for 5 minutes, then disengage vibration.
12. Engage and disengage the vibration several times to verify that the system is functioning properly.
