Pumps Under the Cab Floor (1) Torque converter housing (2) Steering pump (3) Transmission pump (4) Pilot/Brake pumpPilot/brake pump (4) is a fixed displacement pump. When the pump is viewed from the drive end, the pump shaft rotates in a clockwise direction.The pilot/brake pump is bolted to transmission pump (3), which is bolted to steering pump (2). All three pumps are located under the floor of the cab on the upper left side of torque converter housing (1).

Rear View of the Pilot/Brake Pump (5) Pressure port (outlet to the hydraulic pilot oil circuit and to the brake accumulator charging valve) (6) Tank port (inlet from the hydraulic tank) The pilot/brake pump provides the oil that is needed for sending signals from the pilot control valve to the main control valve. The pilot/brake pump also provides the oil that is needed in order to operate the hydraulic brake system.
