16. Remove two lip-type seals (7) from the lift arm assembly. 17. Fasten tooling (D) to the lift arm assembly as shown. Fasten a hoist to tooling (D) so it does not fall when the bearings in the lift arm assembly are removed. Remove the bearings in the lift arm assembly.18. Remove the other lift cylinder as in Steps 2 through 17.Install Lift Cylinders
1. Clean the bores in the lift arm assembly. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A) and install the bearings with tooling (A). Install the bearings until they are 9.9 0.5mm (.39 .02 in) below the outside surface of the lift arm assembly.
Typical Example2. Put 7M7456 Bearing Mount in the seal bores. Install the lip-type seals in the lift arm assembly with tooling (B). Install the seals until they make contact with the bearings and with the lips of the seals facing toward the outside of the lift arm assembly.3. Fasten a hoist and a 9S9906 Ratchet Puller to the lift cylinder. Put lift cylinder (1) in position over the front axle housing as shown.
Do not remove the hoist from the lift cylinder until the pins that hold it have been installed.
4. Put a suitable floor jack in position at the head end of the lift cylinder. Lower the head end of the lift cylinder until it makes contact with the floor jack.
Do not cause damage to the lip-type seals in the lift cylinder or the front loader frame when the lift cylinder is put in position.
5. Move the floor jack up or down to put the bore in the head end of the lift cylinder in alignment with the bore in the front loader frame. 6. Install pin (2) and the two collets.
Be sure the pin and collets are in the center of the front loader frame and the lift cylinder. Temporarily install the bolt, two washers and nut that hold the collets and pin in position. Do not tighten the bolt and nut at this time.
