Remove the pump drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pump Drive - Remove".

Use Tooling (A) in order to reposition retaining ring (2) onto gear assembly (1). Remove gear assembly (1) from plate assembly (3). Remove retaining ring (2) .

Use Tooling (B) in order to reposition retaining ring (5) on gear assembly (1). Use Tooling (C) and Tooling (D) in order to remove race (4) from gear assembly (1). Remove retaining ring (5) .

Use Tooling (D) and a suitable press in order to remove gear (1) from shaft (6) .
