(9) Supply port Oil from the torque converter oil filter flows into manifold (1) through supply port (9). Oil flows from supply port (9) to torque converter inlet relief valve (4). The relief valve regulates the oil pressure to the torque converter at the desired pressure. Excess oil pressure is released to the torque converter housing. The oil flows through torque converter inlet relief valve (4) to the torque converter. The oil flows through the torque converter and returns to manifold (1).The oil flows to torque converter outlet relief valve (3). The relief valve regulates the oil pressure that is returning from the torque converter at the desired pressure. Excess oil pressure is released to the torque converter housing.Then, the oil flows from torque converter outlet relief valve (3) to lubrication relief valve (2). The lubrication relief valve regulates the lube oil at the desired pressure. Excess oil pressure is released to the torque converter housing. The lube oil flows from lubrication relief valve (2) to the transmission speed increaser and pump drive. The torque converter inlet, outlet, and lubrication pressures may be adjusted on the 261-3051 Control Manifold Gp, refer to Illustration 2. Only torque converter outlet pressure may be adjusted on the 367-2806 Control Manifold Gp, refer to Illustration 3. Torque converter inlet pressure and lubrication pressure are set by non-adjustable cartridge style valves. For procedure instructions and pressure settings, refer to the Testing and Adjusting Section, "Pressure for Gear Pump (Transmission Charging) - Test and Adjust".
